Melissa Carlysle is the co-founder and CEO of SOCIHACKS, a facilitator of hackathons, workshops and educational summits for low-income and minority youth across the globe. She inspires youth to participate in hands-on, collaborative educational training using the latest technology to ensure they are successful in a 21st century workforce. She uses these learning opportunities to allow youth to create PSA and video social awareness campaigns as global citizens. Youth use their voices to raise awareness about social issues like the environment, women and girls in STEM/STEAM and non-traditional careers, food insecurity, self-esteem and body image, homelessness, anti-bullying and anti-human trafficking.
Melissa has over 20 years of proven success in leveraging educational theories and methodologies to design, develop, and deliver advanced training programs and through the integration instructional technology tools in onsite/virtual training. She is adept at executing and pioneering transformational educational and change management training and education programs for youth and adults.
